RVA Group will be exhibiting at the 2014 Plant and Asset Management show at the NEC later in the spring. The event, which expects to attract over 40,000 visitors, takes place at the NEC Birmingham from Tuesday 8th until Thursday 10th April.
One of the highlights of the plant, works and maintenance calendar, the exhibition also includes an extensive seminar programme covering a broad spectrum of engineering developments and issues presented by a selection of industry experts.
RVA’s MD Richard Vann will lead a seminar session exploring the challenges and opportunities associated with redundant asset management planning. He will highlight best value strategies giving examples of projects ranging from a complete site exit to the removal of a single redundant asset from a large-scale, high-hazard, operational site.
If you wish to discuss your specific asset management planning issues during the show please visit RVA in Hall 3, stand P412.
Bookings to attend Richard’s presentation can be made via the show’s website www.maintenanceuk-expo.com
I would like to take this opportunity again to thank you and your team at RVA for the work that you have performed in clearing the Hallam and Central Melting Plant site here at Ilkeston. This is the second time that we have used your company and the service that we have received was exemplary. It is absolutely essential on any demolition project that health and safety is the priority and your team has clearly delivered in this regard. We have benefited hugely from the resource and skill that you have applied to managing the demolition project as this allows the team at Saint-Gobain PAM UK to concentrate on our own ongoing business.
Your teams are always of a very high standard and I have very much enjoyed the close working relationship that we have developed with RVA. It ensures that we at Saint-Gobain PAM UK are kept fully informed of progress and any issues arising on the site, and they have also been invaluable in keeping a close control on the costs of the contractor.

Case Study - Davidson Mill (215.3 KiB)
For three years, a vast paper making machine stood idle at Davidson Mill in Mugiemoss, Aberdeen.
The machinery was the property of Saint Gobain company, BPB, a world leader in the supply of plasterboard and gypsum plasters, and major supplier of insulation, ceiling tiles and interior products to more than 50 countries. Once the world’s largest manufacturer of paper bags, BPB was able to produce up to 225,000 tonnes of paper a year.
We were delighted to have RVA as part of the team to deliver this project, acting in both a Project Management and CDM role. Key drivers for Acetate Products Limited included HSE performance, contract management, cost control and community relations. All of these goals were met, and we are delighted with the support that RVA provided. RVA delivered key input in managing the many contractual and stakeholder interfaces that existed and their focus on client satisfaction was impressive. By introducing their specialist knowledge and experience, RVA added value and assisted us in bringing the project to a successful completion.
