Saint-Gobain has retained RVA to act
as project managers and CDM-C for the
demolition and clearance of their closed
pipes, fittings and valves manufacturing
plant at Staveley, Derbyshire.

RVA’s asset retirement obligations support
service is proving popular with major oil and
gas production companies.

In order to assist organisations to comply with
the requirements of SFAS 143, an auditable,
robust and flexible accounting tool, that can
be refined to meet the needs of each client,
has been developed.

Following the completion of projects for
ConocoPhillips, both Shell UK and BP have
engaged RVA to undertake similar exercises
for their companies.

It is now hoped to roll this service out to a wider
customer base that includes the power, chemical,
petro-chemical and pharmaceutical sectors.

Coventry Calling For RVA Team

Acetate Products Ltd, a subsidiary of Acordis,
has appointed RVA as CDM-C and specialist
engineers, to support them in the
decommissioning and demolition of their
redundant plant at Little Heath Works, Coventry.

The facility which ceased production some years
ago, will be an interesting project for all of those
involved. This is the first occasion that RVA has
worked with this prestigious client.
 



EU Win In Energy Sector

Portuguese power company, Energias De Portugal
(EDP), has appointed RVA to provide a 3 phase set
of deliverables for the decommissioning and
demolition of their oil fired power station at Barreirro,
near Lisbon.

Services will include production of the project
specification, safety plan as well as guidance
through the contractor selection and tender
processes. RVA will also be supporting the
EDP engineering team during the execution
of the works.

Bayer CropScience, has retained
RVA as CDM Coordinator and specialist
advisers for the decommissioning and
phased closure of its Widnes site.

Having previously provided similar services
to this client at their Norwich plant, RVA is
delighted to have been, once again, selected
by the Bayer organisation

and St Pauls Developments to provide a full suite of
CDM-C and project management services, for the closure
of and exit from, the Knottingley manufacturing site.

The assignment includes support in managing the
reduction and removal of COMAH classification and
IPPC surrender related issues.

the demolition of Octavia Court, a 17 storey
residential block in East Greenock.
